*************Earlier in the day*************

It was 11.45 when Kathir finally arrived at his in-law’s place to take his wife back. As guessed by him, she was waiting in the entrance, though was acting all nonchalant. As if he don’t know.

She is holding a magazine in her hand, and discreetly checking the gate every other minute. He knows her quirks. All these days he never have given much thought or attention to such things. But right now, it feels different. It’s different. He felt so happy and elated knowing she is expecting his arrival. So, his doubt that there is something missing/ he did misunderstood certain things is proving to be true with everything happening since the night. He will get to the bottom of it at the earliest.

Kathir simply loved the whole happenings and decided to play a little with her. Yes. He may never get one more chance like this. If he has an option, he is never sending her to her mom’s place in the way she arrived this time. Never ever. He vowed to do everything in his power to never hurt her again in any which way. Now to his game plan!

Kathir picked his mobile and rang her up. She excitedly picked the phone.
M: Naan ready ah irukengha… Neengha vandha udane, 2 nimishathula kelambidalam. Bag kooda ready ah vasal la vachuten…

(Trying hard to suppress his mixed emotions of laughter at her childish excitement as well as deeper attraction towards her affection and her trust in his words)
K: Ey… Adhu… Annan veliyur poi irukaaru. Adhaan inniki …. Konjam kadaila velai jaashti…

M: Oh! Appadiya? Apo ungalala inniki vara mudiyaadha?

K: mmmm…. Aamam… Varamudiyaadhu… Kadai pakkanam.. annan velaiyum serthu paakanum….

M: Parava illengha… Puriyudhu. Apo neengha naalaiku kaalaila vandhuduveegala?

K: Hmmm… seri.

M: Akka edhuvum sollaliya?

K: Anni enna solluvagha? Annan sonnadhey senjidu nu sonnagha. ….

M: Akkavum appadi solitagala. Seringa.

(Ean? Ivaruku vaai varadha, innike en pondatti ya enneram aanalum naan poi kootitu varen nu solradhuku? Innum oru raathiri ya? Innikum thookam poocha?!

Nammakita matum thoongala nee ilama nu solla theriyudhu… Anga solla vendiyadhu dhana?

Akka vuku kooda naan ilenu thoonalaya? Naan illa nu konjam kuda yosikala!!!

Nee matum dhan Mullah inga polambitu irukanum… therinjuko!)
She ranted on …

Kathir couldn’t hold in his laugh but at the same time, can’t be caught by his wife..

K: Anga enna munumunukara?

M: Ahhnn… Onnum ilengha… Onnume illa.. :/

K: Seri… Customer varangha… Vaikaren…

M: mmmm…

She cut the call reluctantly, and leaned in the entrance gate.

Kathir waited a few beats observing her expressions. She is so upset. She pouted looking at the gate with a longing eyes. It was adorable. She was talking to herself and there were so many emotions on her face in that short time.

Sadness. Anger. Disappointment. Upset.

She finally convinced herself and raised from the step to go inside, when she heard the main gate being opened. She turned to see who has come at this time.

Kathir was standing there in his work clothes. Color dhoti and a V neck T shirt. His smile was broad and it was all for her, only her. As he walked slowly towards her, she noticed something. Yes. He was actually smiling mischievously. She looked at her phone and again at him. Darn. This man will be the death of her.

Mullai wanted to fight with him but knows well that right now she can’t. She can’t even have a “chella sandai” as her parents will eat her head.

“Irukatum Mullah… Oru naal vasama maatuvagha… Apo paathukalam.. “

She greeted him with a chella koobam. She wanted to question him when Murugan arrived behind her, greeting his Son in law
