Evening at PS House

Meena has just returned home from her job, greeted Lakshmi amma and Dhanam who are in the hall talking.

Dhanam: Vaa Meena. Innikum nadandhu dhan vanthiya? Jeeva va drop panna soli irukalam la?

Lakshmi amma: Ennadhu Nadandha? Ivlo dhooram ah?

Meena: Paravaileenga… Jeeva ku call pannen. Velaiya veliya irukanam. Adhan… Irunga naan poi refresh aagitu vandhudaren.

Dhanam: Coffee podatuma ila tea kudikireya meena? Boost tharatuma? Ipo dhan pudhu bottle vandhudhu!

Meena: Aiyo.. Edhuvum venam ga… Konja neram kazhichu naane potukaren. Neenga Ukkarunga.
Kannan enters the home at that time

Kanna: Kutty anni… appadiyellam solla kudadhu… Anni. Ennaku tired ah iruku! Oru tea, kudave konjam snacks. :D Appadiye Konjam kutty annikum eduthutu vandhudunga.. Paavam. Ilena en kita irundhu pudigikuvanga. :/

Meena puts her hands on her hips and glares at Kannan.

Dhanam hits kanna slightly on the shoulder and goes to the kitchen calling out

Dhanam: Ipo edhuku da avala vambuku izhukara? Adi venum unnaku! Tea ah? Ozhunga Paal kudi.

Meena makes a fun face at Kannan and starts to move, when Lakshmi amma calls out,

L: Mulla.. Inga konjam vaayen.

M: Atha.. Avanga dhan inga ilaye! Marandhuteengala? Sollunga.. enna venum?

L: aamam la. Acho. Naan ula polam nu dhan koopiten

Dhanam comes back with two glasses and hears L’s words

D:  Veedae ennamo madhri iruku .. ila atha! Meenavum, Mullaiyum ilama ennaku dhan onnum oda matengudhu.

M: Mullai kita neenga pesineengala? Epo varangalam?

D: Perusa pesa mudiyala! Chumma nalla irukiyanu mattum ketean. Nee pesuniya meena?

M: Hmmm… inniki lunch break la call pannen. Romba dull ah pesunanga! Epo vareenga nu ketan, Varanum nu mottai ya sonnanga. Kathirum appadi dhan pidi kudukama badhil solrar!

D: Kathir ah? Avan epo un kooda pesinan? Enkita onnume sollale…

M: Avar epoganga en kita pesirukaru? Inniki enna drop pannum podhu Naan ketean. Apo badhil sonar.

D: Idhu epo? Kathir unna drop pannana?

Meena explained the situation and the conversation she had with Kathir before going into the school, after getting dropped.

Meena noticed that Kathir is actually distracted and is kind of more detached than his usual self.

M: Romba Thanks ga.

K: Irukatum … an…. He stops, not knowing meena’s temper. … After few beats, he says… Apo naan kilamburen.

M: Kathir. …

K: Sollunga…

M: Mullaiya epo kootitu varenga?

K: Adhu… ava epo solralo… apo

Meena is actually touched by this answer of Kathir. It was bittersweet and she felt happy for her brother in law and co sister.

M: Call panni pesuneengala?

K: Ila ….

All the while he was struggling with his emotions. Mentions of Mullai brought so much pain to Kathir.

Meena observed Kathir deeply and said in a firm yet kind voice,
M: Koopitu pesunga.

He looked at her for a few seconds and nodded his head.

M: Apparam… Enna anni nu koopidalam… Koochika maaten.

And she smiled at him.

K: Seringa … an..ni!

Dhanam and Lakshmi amma were smiling happily on hearing this truce between Meena and Kathir.

Kanna: Apo inni neengalum sandai poduka mategala? Ennaku bore adikume!

D: Dei… Unna.. Maama varatum.. ellarum sandai podanum na solra!

M: Appadi kelunga.. dei.. naanga onnum sandai lam podala. Chinnadha oru misunderstanding. Ipo adhu seri aagidhuchu! Po.. Poi un naradhar velayae vera engavudhu sei..

K: senjutene… Kalelaiye Mullai anni kita!

D: Enna da panna? Aiyo! Erkanave avanga rendu per mugamum avlo vaadi irundhudhu… ipo nee vera enna da?

Dhanam started panicking and Lakshmi amma was so worried.
