********** Earlier in the Day **********

Kathir dropped Mullai closer to her place, waiting till she gets safely inside and left to the shop. He already had the keys and change of clothes safely tucked at a space in shop. As he changed into his usual work wear of Veshti and T shirt, he heard Saravana and Maama arriving. 

Thapichitada Kathiru! Oru 5 nimisham late aagi irundhalum, evlo kelvi vandhurukum.. Nala veala thappichittom. He acted nonchalant, though felt Maama and Saravana were giving him weird looks from time to time.

He started attending to the clients, though his mind was thinking of how to inform Moorthy of bringing Mullai back home. He eagerly awaited Moorthy’s arrival, so he can bring his wife to their place, her rightful home.

As if his fate is playing games, neither Moorthy nor Jeeva turned up to the shop at their usual time. Shop phone rang. He picked the call

K: Hello…

It was Dhanam at the other end!

D: Kathiru!!! Enga da… Kalaila tea kooda kudikama kadaiku poita? Naan unna kannom nu inga theditu iruken. Nightum nee varla? Enga da ponna?

K: Anni! Ila anni… Konjam velai.. Adhan godown la irundhu night late ah vandhen. Annanuku theriyum.
Kalaila marupadiyum oru avasara order call… Namma regular customer dhan.. Annan, neenga lam thoonguveenga! Adhan.. neeramavae kilambi naane vandhu velaiya mudichuten.
Annan kadaiku vandhadum Naan veetuku varen anni.

D: Adhuku dhaan da koopiten.. Appa kadaila irukaar la.. Nee veetuku vaa.. Maama vara solraga.. Jeeva inga dhan irukaan. Edho avasara velaiyam. Nee vandha solitu maama kilambarangalam.

K: oh! Seri anni.. Naan vandhudaren.

Kathir informs Kumaresan maama and goes home. On his arrival, Moorthy instructs both Jeeva and Kathir of the day’s work as he is unavailable for the day. He splits his work among Jeeva and Kathir, and leaves guidance for the same.

Before Kathir could speak to him about bringing Mullai back, he starts in a hurry, leaving Kathir helpless. Jeeva notices a change in Kathir’s demeanor, noting it to find the reason.

Dhanam calls out, letting the brothers know that it’s time for breakfast. As Jeeva and Kathir sits down, Kanna joins them.

Ka: Hello Brothers! All lazy boys… Innum kadaiku pogalaya neengalam?

J: Lazy ah? Paathiyada ivan pechai… Nee ennada innum college kilambama iruka…?

Ka: Study holidays brothers… So all day eating, chatting and playing with annis dhan, innum 10 days ku… You guys go n work ah!! Naan vandhu paapen.. ella velaiyum correct ah nadakatum.. Periya anna ilenu rendu perum asalta irundheenga…

K: ( Pulling his ears) Padikarathuku leave vitta.. chatting.. playing ah? Onnu ozhunga ukkandhu padi.. ilena kadaiku vaa.. Saravana-ku inniki neraya delivery velai iruku.. Nee porul lam pirichu adukaradhu, potlam podra velai lam paaru..

Ka: Anni! Kaapathunga anni… Valikudhu annae… Annnnniiiiiii!!!

D: Enna da inga satham? Ey.. Kathiru!! Eanda avan kaadha thirugara? Perusa valikadhu da.. Mandaila rendu kotu vai.. Apovavudhu budhi varudhanu parkalam.

Ka: Annnnniiiiiii……..

J: ha ha ha ha… Adhu enna da annis kooda vilaiyaduva? Anni matum dhana irupaanga? Maththa rendu perum dhan ilaye…

Ka: Kutty anni inniki velaiku pogalaye…. Leave potutanga… Dhanam anni kita sonnangalae… Mullai anniya naan poi kootitu vara poren… Ennaku avanga ilama bore adikudhu…

J: Adhu seri… Ipo iva velaiku pogama, leave potu enna panra?

K: Oru naal dhana nae.. Vidu.. Avangaluku edhaavudhu udambuku sugam illama irukum!

J: Dei.. Avala pathi unnaku theriyadhu da.. Avaluku ivlo support panra.. Nethu avala drop panni iruka!

Ka: Kutty anni yoda pesi iruka.. enga kitalam solavela nee..

K: Naanga pesuvome… Pesamatom nu yaar sonna?
Poda.. Poi vera engavudhu koluthi podu… :/

K: Anni…

D: Enna Kathiru…?

K: Inniki enna samayal?

All three looked at Kathir with various levels of shock and surprise on their faces!!!

Ka: Neeya pesiyadhu… En Anna neeya pesiyadhu? Kelviyai keatathu? ( Sings in that style)

Jeeva smiled looking at Kathir and his sudden question. Dhanam had a pleasant smile with a little surprised look on her face. She replied

D: Vazhakam pola dhaan da… Oru sambhar.. rendu poriyal.. rasam, apparam thayir.. Inniki Sevvaikizhami la.. Adhanala muttai matum ila… Ean da? Unnaku edhavudhu venuma?

K: Ila.. Ila.. Adhu… Onnum ila… chumma.. chumma dhan keten.

D: Edhavudhu sapidanum na sollu da.. Anni adhaye senjudaren… Onnum periya vishiyam ila.. Nee kaetu anni ilaenu solla porena? Sollu Kathiru…

K: Onnum ila Anni. Chumma dhan katen.

D: Seri da.

Brothers finish eating and gets ready to leave for the shop while Kanna sits by a pillar and starts playing games on his mobile. Dhanam, Jeeva and Kathir notes this.

K: Annae.. Nee ivana Kadaiku kootitu po… Madhiyathuku mela vandhu padikatum.. Inga eppa paaru kadhai adichitu, vilaiyaditu irukaan..

J: Vidu da… Irukatum..

K to himself: Mudiyadhe.. Inniki naan avala kootitu vara varaikum ivan mela oru kannu vachi irukanum.. Ivan poi avala kootitu vandha apparam engaluku chance miss aagidum la!

D: Ila Jeeva… Kathir solradhum seridhan. Maamavum ila.. Nee avana kootitu po.. Konjam avanum pazhagatum… Vilaiyatu adhigham aagidhuchu vara vara.. Avanukum konjam porupu varatum da…

J: Seri Anni.. Apo Kathiru.. Naan avana kootitu poren… nee vandi edhuthutu vandhuru…

K: Seri nae…

After little convincing, Kanna joins Jeeva and they leave to the shop.

Kathir goes to his room, taking a deep breath, sits on the bed, says to himself… Inniki rathiri ava inga irupa! Idho indha bed la dhan thoonghuvaa.. Naamum oru vazhiya thoongalam!
Uffff! Vandhadhum theliva Sollidu da Kathiru! Naalu adi vena adichiko! Ippadi ellam pogadhey nu! Gethu mukkiyam dhaan.. Adha vida thookam romba mukkiyam!

He grooms himself, getting ready to go to shop. He then goes in search of Dhanam and finds her sitting with Lakshmi amma, feeding her food.

K: Amma

L: Kathiru… Saptiya pa?

K: Sapten ma…

L: Kadaiku kilambitiya?

K: Ammam ma…

L: Seri Pa..

He waits a beat and

K: Anni..

D: Kathiru? Sollu Kathiru…

K: Adhu… Adhu… Ungaluku Paal paniyaram seiya theriyuma?

D: Paal Paniyarama?

K: Ama anni…

D: Enna da theedirnu?

K: Ila… Theriyuma nu therinjuka kaeten.

D: Ennaku Senja nyabagam ilayae Kathiru…

K: Oh! Appadiya… Seri.. Paravala anni..

L: Paal paniyaram ma? Adhu ennaku theriyumae…

D: Super Athai… Naan Athai solla solla ketu senjudaren … Epo venum unnaku?

K: Adhu... Inniki mudiyuma Anni?!

D: Innika? Seri da… Nee ketuiruka… Naan kandipa senjuren.

K: Ungaluku srimam na vendam anni..

D: Adhulam onnum ila Kathiru… Anni senju vaikaren.. Nee vandhu sapidu…

Athai.. Neenga eppadi pannanumnu sollunga.. Kathire onnu venum nu ketu irukaan… Naan kalyanam aagi vandhu, indha 13 varushathula, idhu dhaan mudhal dhadava… adhukagavavudhu naan idhai senje aaganum.

Kathir smiles shyly and leaves the place bidding good bye to his mother and anni.

L: Mullaiku Paal paniyaram na romba pidikum. Parvathy nalla pannuva…

D: Ohhhh! Adhaan sir inniki ippadi kekarara? Evlo thayakam athai …. Ippavum avanukunu kekala… Avaluku pidichadhu dhan kekaran.. indha paiyana… idhalam avakita solanum!

Ennaku romba sandhosama iruku athai.. Ivanga rendu perum ippadi orutharukaga inoruthar pannumbodhu, naan nimadhiya iruken.

L: Naanum dhan Dhanam.. Avanga kalyana galatta la, rendu per vazhkaiyum veen panitamoonu bayandhen.. Ipo ennaku thriptheeeya iruku.
Anniki naan unna romba thititen la Dhanam.. Manasu porukalama.. Adhan, andha nerathula appadi pesiten. Manasula edhuvum vachikaadha!

D: Aiyo Athai.. Athelam oru vishiyame ila… Neenga enna solama yaara soluveenga?! Ipo Sapidunga. Naama poi Paal paniyaram pannalam.

Aana parunga.. Avaluku Paal paniyaram pidikumnu ivanuku therinjiruku!Rendu perum periya kedigala dhan irukagha! 

Eppadiyo... Sandhoshama irundha adhu podhum namaku!
