For this work of fiction, date stands as Nov 25th. 


All this takes place after the thodarum of the Friday episode. 


Kathir mulled over Jeeva’s words. Had she also lost her sleep last night? But isn’t she the one who wanted to go to her mom’s place? Again, he remembered her waiting all through last week when he returned late at nights. He also remembered her waiting for him the other night when he went out with his friends. 


The words he heard her speaking the other day as he entered the house and her actions contradicted a lot, now that he thought about it. He felt more confused now.


Jeeva: Kathiru! Oru naal thoongalena paravaila da. Aana idhukaga innoru thadava thookam tholaikama iruka enna pannanum nu parthu, adha pannu.
Ippovum neenga rendu perum edho thappa purinjukitu irukeenga nu matum ennaku theriyudhu. Edhuva irundhalum, rendu perum oru dhadava pesunga. Adhula unnaku edhavudhu theriya varum.

Kathir: Ellathaiyum varthaila solli dhan theriyanuma annae? Sollama puriyadha?

Jeeva: Sila vishiyangal solliyum theriyanum da. Solli dhan paren.

After being silent for few beats, Jeeva put his right hand on Kathir’s left Shoulder and said
“Ellaroda prechanaikum eppavum sariyana theervu solravan da nee. Ipo unnakunu edho onnu vandhuruku. Konjam nidhanama Yoshi. Nee eppavum sariyana mudivu edupanu engaluku nalla theriyum, adhai neeyum nambu. “

Kathir took hold of his brother’s hand on his shoulder, and a memory flashed. The memory of the night from kanna’s arrest. That soft touch gave him so much strength, now that he thinks about it.  

Kathir: Bayama iruku na. Idho, innum muzhusa rendu naal kooda aagala, adhukula nee moonavudhu aal enna ippadi kekaradhu! Innum aazhama poi …. He gestured with his right hand as “I dunno”

Jeeva: Bayapadadha da. Unnaku edhuvum thappa nadakadhu.

Indha oru dhadava, ellariyum vidu. Unnaku enna venum nu Yoshi. Unnaku andha pulla venum la? Adha matum Yoshi. Ipo adhuku enna seiyanumo adha sei. Idhula endha suyanalamum ila.

Kathir looked at Jeeva and shook his head slightly as yes, he did understand.

Kathir: Seri Vaa na, kelambuvom. Adhutha velaiya pakkalam.
